Dr Keech primarily supervises research students in the following areas:
Project Area 1: Stress Theory and Interventions
Development of theory and interventions for reducing the effect of stress on physical and psychological health, and performance.
Project Area 2: Stress Management in Occupational and Academic Contexts
Investigating stress management in occupational and academic contexts.
Project Area 3: Application of Theory to Changing Health Behaviours
Application of psychological theory to understanding and changing health behaviours (e.g., healthy eating; alcohol use, sleep hygiene, screen time), with a particular interest in the application of theories which specify a distinction between automatic/habitual and reasoned processes in enacting behaviour.
Project Area 4: Mindsets and Behaviour
Investigating the impact of mindsets (e.g., stress mindset, implicit theories of self-control) on behaviour, and wellbeing and performance outcomes.
